There are two things I absolutely love:
- The beautiful occasion that is a wedding; and
- The outfit for said occasion
Which is why
I'm blogging this one. Even if I do say so myself, it’s pretty decent.
I have my
lovely friend Rebecca to thank for introducing me to Sosandar and honestly, I'm
like a girl obsessed. I think I'll gradually make sure my capsule wardrobe is solely
from there. Everything is that perfect blend of high-end fashion, but on a
reasonable budget. It’s all such good quality. I mean they sell jeans in 16 different
(yet beautiful) colours... Yes, please – this girl wants them all. Anyway, I was
searching for a new dress for my friend’s wedding and where else was I going to
look?
I'm not usually
a print-person, I just don’t think I can pull it off. But I’m a sucker for
polka dots and there were some really stunning dresses online. I really want
this white (with black polka dot) number – but 100%, it’s probably not suitable
for a wedding. There was also a red dress I had my eye on. In the end I went for
navy with white polka dot.
The dress is so
flattering, and it's made from that sort of stretchy material that's light and
so breathable. I love the frill on the skirt and also the ruching on the sleeves.
It’s perfect for day and night, and gave me some serious Spanish flamenco vibes…
I'm already thinking about when I can wear it next. Up until yesterday, I
thought summer was over! Plus, it looks killer with a tan – even though mine
was out of a bottle.
My trusty Kurt
Geiger Sling backs and clutch bag, which also match, were my accessories here.
Keeping it light to match the polka dot. Both have no doubt appeared on my blog
multiple times. Even though I practically live in flats these days, I've never
known a more comfortable pair of shoes. These ones are my actual faves. I used
to also have a pair in black velvet, and I still have a pair in pale blue, too.
Away from the
outfit, I actually got a few compliments on my hair. I used my BaByliss curl
secret on the hottest setting, but for the loosest curl – and brushed out the
curls after setting to get that more natural wave. I still need to perfect it,
but for a first attempt it wasn't too bad. And even better, it lasted all day.
It’s crazy to
think that I originally met Victoria online and we bonded over our loves of
football and blogging. So many memories together have appeared on my blog –
many an afternoon tea or meal out, often accompanied by cocktails. A
long-standing friendship, that’s for sure.

A really
beautiful occasion, and a wonderful day – even weather-wise! So of course, it
was only right that I had a lovely outfit to match.
