Even
though it seems so long ago now, I hope you enjoyed the Bank Holiday and the
gorgeous weather we’ve been having since. For the first Bank Holiday in ages, I
actually had plans and these plans were made months in advance, which also
meant my outfit was planned a little bit eagerly as well! I’m not even ashamed.
During
the day, I was meeting a friend for drinks in Wembley, before heading over to
The Hive to watch Barnet play. In the evening, my lovely friend Vicky booked us
a table at Les 110 de Taillevent, which will be appearing on the blog later on
in the week. I had planned on wearing these ChiChi beauties, but I’m so glad I didn’t
– not only was it actually quite cold, but a lot of walking was involved and I
think by 5pm, I would have been crying!
The
Camelia wrap over top from Pink Boutique is utterly gorgeous and I fell in love
with it instantly when I saw it on a sponsored slider on Facebook – what excellent
marketing! It’s not an item of clothing I would usually wear, but it looked
perfect for spring and summer as well as so many different occasions. The
material is light and despite having long sleeves, I wasn’t too hot during the
day. The wrap over style means the material is floaty and just drapes nicely –
although I can safely say it isn’t designed for running for public transport! Next
time I’d be inclined to wear a bold necklace or choker, to emphasise the
neckline.
You
may have seen or heard on social media that my Kurt Geiger bag is my new baby,
I take it everywhere with me. It goes with everything, making it an ideal daily
work bag. My brother introduced me to Shoeaholics and I’m now obsessed –
largely due to the volume of emails I get from them. I also bought two pairs of
shoes when I bought the bag and I’m sure they will feature on my blog soon!
This
outfit was perfect for that day-to-night transition – I didn’t feel too overly
dressed during the day and obviously it was nice enough for the evening as
well. Let’s be honest, you can’t really go wrong with black and white, either!
Love,
Lucy xx
