Okay, so I accidently posted my last post last Monday instead of next, so everything is now totally out of sync while I’m away, but today I’m going to bring you my May favourites. Funnily enough, they’re all beauty products this month.
So
even though I work in marketing, I’m a complete sucker to it. The new Herbal Essences 0% range has totally
got me – I love it. I bought the shampoo and conditioner from the Shine collection, which claims to
revitalise your locks and restore its natural shine. My hair is incredibly dull,
especially as I’ve not coloured for nearly half a year (eek!) but I’ve noticed
a difference since using it. The invigorating mint and white tea scent is just
beautiful too.
I’m
yet to join the oil pulling revolution, but I’m sure it’s something I’ll try
soon – especially as I have a jar of coconut oil in the fridge, just sitting
there. I love the Pearl Drops brand
though and as I drink a lot of green tea (and coffee at the weekends), I chose
the Restore White toothpaste, which
is targeted at tea and coffee drinkers. I’ve used this for just over a month
now, twice a day (three times at weekends) and have been really impressed with
the results. It’s currently on offer in Superdrug, so I should really stock up.
The
Percy & Reed Finishing Polish came
free when I bought the hairspray (godsend, btw!) and it’s fast become my
favourite finishing product – big statement! Just the tiniest pea-sized amount
works wonders for fly-aways and also leaves my hair looking shiny and smooth. I’d
use this when both straightening and curling my hair.
I’ll
finish with two little samples I’ve been loving. The first is the Kneipp bath oil in lavender. I got this
product in the LIB Bath & Beauty mini box and it’s just amazing. You only
need a couple of capfuls to create light bubbles and beautiful purple bath. The
essential oils have a really calming effect on the body, so it’s perfect for
winding down and relieving stress. The oil is quite rich, but moisturises the
skin without feeling greasy. Finally, it’s another LIB product, this time from
the Clinique box – and it’s the fragrance Happy
by Clinique. Why oh why have I only just come across this perfume?! The
scent is mixture of citrus and floral and is so lovely, light and uplifting. I’ve
been using it so much this month, it’s nearly empty – and even though I have so
many bottles of perfume currently, I need this in my life!
What
were your May favourites?
