I
was planning on posting a Q&A to introduce myself to my new followers and
because I love reading (and writing) personal posts. I saw the Blogger Tag on A Touch of
Belle – and I’m pretty sure that Gemma’s blog was one of the first I
followed on Bloglovin years ago now. So let’s get on with the tag!
Question
1:
How tall are you?
I’m 5 foot 7, which I love – I’m from a tall
family, which I love and I’m glad this is a characteristic that Alfie will
inherit
Question
2: Do
you have a hidden talent if so what?
Sounds
strange, but I don’t think I have one
Question
3: What
is your biggest blog related pet peeve?
OMG, proofing content, without a doubt. In all of
my jobs to date, proofing and subediting has been involved so the last thing I
want to do is spend time and energy in the evening proofing blog posts. When my
dad was around, he often proofed my posts for me. Or let me know of mistakes
when they were live
Question
4: What
is your biggest non blog related pet peeve?
It used to be lateness, but once you’ve had a baby,
the chances are, lateness will be at the back of your mind. Now I dislike people
who expect something for nothing, or feel like you owe them something
Question
5: What
is your favourite song?
I don’t have a favourite, although Oasis’ Live
Forever is up there. I like songs that remind me of a certain time or place,
particularly ones that remind me of my dad
Question
6:
What is your favourite social media site?
I honestly don’t have one. I don’t update my
Instagram grid enough to say that. And my Twitter use gradually reduces every
month
Question
7: What
is your favourite way to spend your time when you are alone?
I don’t get alone time and once I’ve put Alfie to bed;
my time is spent tidying up, cooking and eating dinner and washing up. But once
in a while, I love a bath, to read a book or write a post
Question
8:
What's your favourite junk food?
Sweets or biscuits – I have such a sweet tooth
Question
9:
Do you have any pets, if so what kind and what are their names?
I don’t have pets and never have done
Question
10:
What are your favourite fiction and non-fiction?
Fiction, I’m easy, anything chick-lit or what I’d
class as a ‘holiday read’. Non-fiction, I like (auto) biographies
Question
11: What
is your favourite beauty product or tool?
I can’t be without foundation and my fave is
Diorskin Star, but my favourite tool is my trusty GHDs which have kept my hair
straight and smooth for over a decade
Question
12:
When were you last embarrassed and what happened?
I honestly don’t remember, it must have been a
while ago
Question
13: If
you could only drink one beverage besides water for the rest of your life what
would it be?
I would probably only need water, to be honest. But
maybe coffee during the week and prosecco at the weekend
Question
14: What's
your favourite movie?
Again, I don’t have a favourite, but Drive is up
there – a brilliant soundtrack and Ryan Gosling... need I say more
Question
15:
What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
I guess I’d have to say English. I studied English
Language at GCSE and A-Level and my degree was in English Language &
Communication
Question
16: If
you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?
Spain! I love the food, the people, the culture, way
of life and weather... literally everything! Or obviously Essex because it’s my
home county and I will probably miss it forever
Question
17: PC
or Mac?
Not a choice, but I use a laptop
Question
18:
Last romantic gesture from your other half/close friend?
Some may call it romantic; others will say it’s a
requirement, but a bouquet of red roses on Valentine’s Day
Question
19: Favourite
Celebrity?
I don’t have a favourite – I’m not really one for
celeb culture
Question
20:
What blogger do you secretly want to be friends with?
I’m lucky enough to have made friends through
blogging. There’s no blogger community or events in MK and I really miss those
opportunities in Essex and the people I’ve spoken to on social or met. I wish I
had gone to more events and maybe even met up with some of the girls on social
Question
21:
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My parents. Growing up, it was my dad for his work
ethic and achievements – and we’re also very similar. It’s now my mum because
she’s selfless, the strongest person I know and continues to provide for and
look after us – all admirable traits
Question
22:
What is your favourite blog to read?
I have become awful at reading blogs, largely because I
don’t have the time. I love bloggers that take their blog or vlog to Instagram,
whether it be with a perfectly updated grid or a series of Insta-stories. In
terms of content, I love Foodie
for Thought and Dainty
Dress Diaries
Question
23: What
is your favourite high street shop?
Again, not a single favourite but I’ll always love
New Look. Mango and Zara are usually my go-to shops for everyday and work-wear
Question
24:
Are you in education or do you work?
I work. After maternity leave and job searching, I’m
a Content Consultant, which I love
Question
25:
One thing you are proud of?
It used to be graduating, but nothing will ever top
giving birth, especially having been told I’d never have children. It may have
been exhausting but it’s so rewarding and the best thing
Hopefully you found out something new about me. If
